1. Fab 40’s Light Tours in Sacramento

FoFor over 35 years, Dovewood Court has been a holiday lights spectacle, drawing thousands each year. This iconic cul-de-sac, endorsed by Mariah Carey, the Queen of Christmas, is a must-see! Bundle up for a festive stroll or enjoy the lights from your vehicle. Don't forget to bring non-perishable food items for donation to Food for Families charities. Experience the magic!

3. Imaginarium "Holiday Lights, Fairytale Delights"

Don't miss Sacramento's largest holiday light festival! Immerse your family in over 5 million lights at Imaginarium, a new concept by the creators of Global Winter Wonderland. Explore enchanting displays like the Fairytale Garden and Infinity Mirrors. The festivities include circus shows, ice skating, carnival rides, games, live entertainment, and more. Get the best pricing by securing your tickets early to experience the magic of Cal Expo's Christmas lights this year.

4. Macy's Theatre of Lights

Theatre of Lights is a free holiday lighting extravaganza at the Old Sacramento Waterfront produced by the Downtown Sacramento Partnership. The nightly performances are Thursday through Sunday from Thanksgiving Eve – Christmas Eve (no show on Thanksgiving) featuring a live-action retelling of Moore’s 1823 poem — “A Visit from St. Nicholas,” more popularly known as “’ Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

5. Winter Wonderland at Fairytale Town

Celebrate the holiday season at Fairytale Town with holiday lights, festive décor and vendors, snow, Santa, arts & crafts and more at Fairytale Town’s Winter Wonderland event.

6. Wild Nights/Holiday Lights in Folsom Zoo

This annual family event returns for the 14th year with thousands of bright lights, sparkling ornaments and trees, lighted animal figures, and displays transforming the zoo sanctuary with holiday spirit. Local caroling groups and musicians provide the merry sounds of the season, and the Folsom Valley Railway miniature train provides special nighttime rides. 

Wild Nights and Holiday Lights is open from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with last entry at 8 p.m., December 5-7, 11-14, & 18-22  (weather permitting; heavy rains or winds will cancel). All proceeds from the event benefit the zoo sanctuary animals.
